Jim’s Custom Kitchens, our second generation family business, just celebrated its 40th year in business in 2016.  Through those years we’ve supplied many kitchens, baths and countertops to states as far away as Alaska, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Missouri but the majority of our work has been in Kansas and Oklahoma.  Jim and JoAnn Spradlin opened their first business in Independence, KS in 1976 where their first of many custom kitchens were built.  As a teenager at the time, I learned the ropes from working in the office to out in the shop learning the trade of cabinet maker and countertop fabricator, giving me an unusual and valuable heritage that I’m so very thankful for.

After college, I opened our second showroom in Bartlesville, OK in 1983.  We relocated to a larger facility to house our shop as well as showroom a few years later which we are still in.  We brought my husband, Greg, into the business which at that time brought his 20 years’ experience of working in new construction as a licensed Electrical and HVAC contractor. We’ve been working in the business together for 25 years.  Our son, Josh, has grown up in the business as I did (since he was a week old).  He spends his time away from college and summers working with us either in the shop or out on installations.

Even though things have changed a lot in 40 years with materials and technology, the thing that hasn’t changed is that we are still a family business with the stability that brings.  We still strive to give each project we do our best attention and service. The most important kitchen we are going to do is yours.

We look forward to meeting you
